Energy Healing

The Human Energy Field is a luminous field of energy that includes and extends beyond the physical body. It incorporates energy from our emotions, our spiritual connections and is in a continuous integrated process with the other energies around it.

Three key components of the human energy system

  • Meridians are pathways in which energy travels within our tissues that run on each side of the body. There are 12 major meridians, and one side mirrors the other. Each meridian correlates to an internal organ.

  • Chakras spin and draw in this energy so that the whole of our life issues are kept in balance—the physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual health of the body. The chakras are the issues system.

  • The biofield, aura, or energy field includes both the chakras and their corresponding fields. They are not two separate systems but two aspects of one system. The biofield is our buffering system.

There are additional energy components tied to our soul and our Higher Self.

How does Energy affect my health and well being?

Our energetic bodies are intertwined with our physical bodies. All the traumas we carry physically, emotionally and psychologically impact the functionality of our energy systems (chakras) and vice versa. To maintain vibrant health, the body needs to have energetic space to flow freely throughout the body. When energies become blocked because of traumas, toxins, prolonged stress and muscular constrictions, it creates disturbances in the energy flow in our bodies, which over time contributes to mental, emotional issues and/or ailments and physical disease.

How does Energy Healing work?

There are many ways in which you can heal and support your energy field. Reiki is a great way to clear blocks in your energy field while strengthening and bringing in positive energy. The BioMat brings another form of healing energy to the body and energy field while promoting deep relaxation. There are many other practices that can help maintain and strengthen your energy field like Qigong, Tai Chi, Yoga, Somatics, Breathwork and others. Each practice works to strengthen and purify the energy that runs through and is integrated in your physical body, aura, and meridians. Community circles often offer types of energy healing practices.

Ways to get started on good Energy practices

There are many ways to nourish your energy body with ongoing self-reflection and various methods to activate and maintain the energy flow within the energy body Try to pay attention to when you feel tired, anxious, etc. Arrange a Reiki or BioMat session help support the clear deep energy blocks and strengthening of your energy system. Follow-up that up with engaging a regular practices, even if only for 15 minutes in the morning and 15 minutes before bed. Meditation and yoga are a great way to start and explore from there. Be sure to include some type of body movement and breathwork each day.
